An Autumn Day in London

A friend of mine came down from Scotland for the weekend to catch up and see a few sights, so we spent the day wondering around London. We made our way to the Borough Markets for some lunch. It. Was. Packed. I'd thoroughly recommend the Borough Markets, they may be packed but the food is incredibly and the atmosphere is pretty cool. Everything is fairly priced and there is a great mix of market produce and street food.

We grabbed some bits and bobs from a few stalls, including some amazing freshly squeezed juice and some focaccia which needless to say didn't last long.

With baked goods in hand, we sat on some steps next to this magnificent church to enjoy our spoils.

After lunch we mooched along Southbank. Even on a cold, drizzly November day The Thames still wasn't a bad place to spend an afternoon.

Eventually we made our way to the Tate Modern - again another great place to while away a few hours. I've been there twice now and each time I go I'm shocked by how massive the building is.

After the Tate we made our way to Piccadilly Circus and grabbed some dinner at Whole Foods, before wondering along Regent Street as we window shopped and drew in the sights.

Oxford Street was stunning. It was a magical night to be out - I'm definitely making the most of the cooler months. Beautiful lights and crisp nights (tehehe) are what I live for.
